The Meeseeks are a four piece band from the moderately scummy Northern Suburbs of Melbourne. Their songs despite being fundamentally based in rock, burst with influence from their diverse backgrounds such as punk, blues, reggae and jazz.

Gabby Crump

Lead Vocals/Guitar

Lead singer Gabby, comes from a folky, country blues background, her main passion being the craft and development of original material. Though appearing as the band’s front woman, she says “each member plays an integral role in the development of our sound”. Songwriting has always been a vital expressive tool for Gabby, her “punch in the face” lyrics, grip audiences due to their honesty and edge.

Jack Phillips

Drums/Vocals

From a Heavy Metal background, drummer Jack met Gabby in their high school music class. The two have been jamming on original material since the pair formed the band in December 2016. He's a strikingly passionate and energetic musician, also co collaborator with Gabby in the lyrical and vocal elements of the music. His hard hitting style and speedy fills makes up the driving backbone of the music.

Ishan Morris-Gray

Bass

The Groovy bass lines of Ishan are inspired by his broad range of musical interests including experimental and jazz music. Ishan and Gabby grew up together in the same block of flats. Losing contact over the years, the two met again at a Triple J Hottest One Hundred Party in their mid teens. His musical expertise, unusual and solid rhythm gives him a shining role in the Music he so passionately plays.

Jimmy Criticos

lead guitar

Lead Guitarist Jimmy, the newest member of the band, has already made a huge impact, shocking the other members from his very first audition. Based in country and blues, Jimmy's tight rhythm playing and mind blowing solos keep him at a level far above what most have heard.
